Membership

Membership runs from April 1 to March 31.

Types:
Full Persons over the age for Cadet Members.
Junior Persons under the age of 18, with written parental consent.
Cadet Between the ages of 18 and 21.
Temporary Persons for a period of up to one month, or such period as the Committee may decide.
Honorary
Persons nominated at the discretion of the Committee, for a limited period.
Honorary Life
Nominations for such membership may be presented to the Committee by any member for their approval and subsequent confirmation at the AGM. The partner of an Honorary or an Honorary Life member will also be an Honorary or Honorary Life member of the Club with no voting rights.

4) The Committee shall elect members of the Club and in any ballot two black balls shall exclude.
5) Every candidate for membership shall be proposed and seconded by two full members of not less than six months seniority both of whom shall have known the applicant for a satisfactory period. The name and address of any candidate and all other particulars that the Committee requires must be provided on the Application Form. A payment representing the appropriate entrance fee shall accompany the Application Form. Junior Applications shall be accompanied by a payment representing the appropriate subscription.
6) An Application for membership shall be exhibited on the notice board in the Club for a minimum of ten days prior to approval.
7) The Committee may at anytime expel any person from membership of the Club when the Committee, in its absolute discretion, decides that the expulsion of the member is in the best interests of the Club.
8) Prior to expulsion of a member the Committee shall give the member an opportunity to make representations to the Committee.

Entrance fees and subscriptions
9) Entrance fees and subscriptions shall be such sums as the Committee may determine after due consideration of the costs involved in running the Club. Subscriptions shall be paid upon election and on 1st April annually.
10) The annual subscription to be paid for each category of member, other than temporary, honorary and life members, shall be deemed to cover the Club's financial year and shall be determined before the start of that year in accordance with Rule 9.
11) Any member who has not paid the subscription before 31st May or within one month after the date of acceptance as a member shall cease to be a member. However, the Committee may at any time within the financial year re-admit that person to membership without further formality upon payment of the subscription in full and any re-admission fee as the Committee may deem fit, but not exceeding 50% of the current entrance fee.
12) A member elected during the course of the year shall pay the appropriate entrance fee and a subscription calculated on a pro-rata basis, determined by the number of months, or partial months for which the membership is due to run

These reductions shall not apply to Junior Membership. Overseas members shall pay 25% of the normal subscription.
